A bilingual website for the stack behind Iran's newsrooms
ASAM is the engineering group that runs the servers, the delivery network and the newsroom software behind many of Iran's major news sites. We designed its new website in Persian and English, in light and dark, on top of its own brand book.
Overview
The brief
Challenge
ASAM sells to the technical heads of news organisations. They judge a provider by uptime, by speed and by how clearly it explains what it runs.
Its products range from a newsroom CMS to a delivery network and a video platform. They needed one site that made the whole stack easy to follow, for Persian readers and for English-speaking partners.
What we did
We designed every page from ASAM's 2024 brand book and its Figma files. We wrote the English version from the Persian copy, and documented every component in a design system for both themes.

Custom Website Design
A site that explains a full media stack in plain words
About the service: Custom Website DesignWe designed seven pages: home, the ASAM CMS product page, customers, team, pricing, about and contact. The home page opens on one promise: servers, traffic spikes and midnight alerts are ASAM's job, and the news is the newsroom's.
ASAM's brand blue is the one action colour. The notch, a folder-tab step taken from the brand's curve, is the shape every card is built on.
What we delivered
- Seven page designs, from home to contact
- Product, customer and team sections built from shared components
- Every page checked at 360, 768 and 1440 pixels, in both themes
The home page we designed, in English and light theme, at 1280 pixels wide.
The same page on a phone, light theme.
And in dark theme, where the brand blue acts as light. -
English version
An English site that mirrors the Persian one
We wrote the English pages from the Persian copy, with a translation brief and a glossary, so the voice holds in both languages.
The layout mirrors itself for left-to-right reading. Manrope sets the Latin text, and Vazirmatn the Persian.
What we delivered
- Seven English pages beside the seven Persian ones
- A translation brief with voice rules and a glossary
- A language switch on every page that opens the same page in the other language
-
Design system
A design system for both themes, with every component documented
We checked the 43 components in ASAM's dark Figma design against the light site, and built the 19 that were missing. Each one is documented once, live, with its class names, in light and in dark.
In dark theme the brand blue acts as light. It falls from a corner and catches the edges, while every surface stays a flat fill.
What we delivered
- A live component library in light and dark
- Colour tokens for both themes, with text contrast checked on every page
- 43 Figma components mapped, 19 of them newly built
The CMS page in dark theme. Light falls from a corner; the surfaces stay flat. -
ASAM prices its CMS by a site's daily visits. We designed a calculator around that: pick a traffic level and the monthly cost appears beside it, with every included feature listed below.
What we delivered
- A slider with six traffic levels, from 100,000 to 2 million daily visits
- The monthly cost beside the chosen level
- Custom theme design offered as its own line
The pricing calculator we designed: pick a traffic level and the monthly cost appears beside it.
